they are considerably less weight than planters made from timber, metal or concrete making them more maneuverable when needed in re-positioning.
Style, Simplicity and Elegance
In regard to plant containers, we choose to set ourselves apart from other competitors in the marketplace. Our ‘life style planters’ are designed and manufactured with that in mind the lifestyle they are being situated into. Individually handcrafted our lifestyle planters display a range of unique features and functional innovations that make them distinctly different from all others.
Our exclusive collections comprise not only of open planter styles, ideal for outdoor use, but enclosed planters with the versatile ability for self-watering.
All Fibreglass Planter designs are manufactured by using a shaped mould, which is lined with fibreglass sheeting. Resin liquid is applied to bind fibreglass together and create the outer surface of the planter. Multiple layers of fibreglass are used to create the main structure of the planter and give it strength.
Fibreglass planters also have a reduced carbon footprint on the environment, because of their long-lasting use.
Damaged fibreglass planters can easily be repaired and re-sprayed at a lower cost than other planters made from wood, aluminium or plastic, meaning they can be used again, again and again.
When selecting your next plant container for an indoor or outdoor situation, make the right choice and purchase a lightweight, durable Fibreglass planter for long-lasting satisfaction.
Features of our Lifestyle Planters
Our life style planters are uniquely designed like no other plant container on the market. Our products are categorised into two main groups – enclosed/self-watering and open planters.
Each type has a range of innovative and distinctive features that is not only functional but part of the refined beauty of each handcrafted life style planter produced.
As many of our indoor planters have incorporated a self-watering capability, you have the option to use this approach or just use as a type of ‘cover’ planter. Used as a ‘cover’ planter you would need to remove the plant from the planter (usually on a weekly or fortnightly basis depending on the particular plants water requirements) and water outside in a sheltered position out of direct sunlight, to allow to drain. Then return it to the planter. If using the self-watering method always check water levels in the water reservoir to ensure it is not filled too high submerging the grow plant pot. This will cause the plant to deteriorate and rot, usually causing death.
Always use a good quality lightweight potting media and never garden soil when planting directly into planters. Heavy soil mixtures can possibly cause bowing and cracking, and also create compaction, limiting vital air and water to be available to the plant’s roots.
Ensure all outdoor planters have adequate drainage. Drainage holes can be easily drilled into the base or lower sides of the Fibreglass planters to provide water runoff.
Whether your planter is for indoor or outdoor use, there’s a couple of things that you can do to make sure they remain looking good for a lifetime.
Regularly wipe the exterior surfaces of your planter with a clean non-abrasive cloth and warm soapy water.
Where oil or stains may appear (especially matt or textured surfaces), apply a multi-purpose cleaning product like De-Solv-It Citrus Spray. Use as directed.
